I highly recommend training at at East West Martial Arts. I met Ryan Fiorenzi 10 years ago. I have had an opportunity to train with him more often in the last 2 years and feel that I learned more about BJJ than I learned in the previous 8 years. If you are having problems rolling or feel stuck in your game, he can fix it! His students reach a high level in a short period of time because of his experience. He never holds back and will answer any question you have.

You have a great school! You DO teach a well rounded array of styles and tactics for what ever may come. Plus, mix that in with a low key, great second family type setting and you can’t go wrong. Before I joined your school, I shopped around. At the end, I chose your school for all of those right reasons.

I’ve been asked about you and your school before and I’ve told everyone that it’s a great school with an awesome instructor. In my opinion, and I’ve rolled with alot of people in Michigan, you are hands down the best I’ve had the opportunity to train with. You have some of the slickest jiu jitsu I’ve ever seen, and you’re a technique encyclopedia. As for cross training, I think that’s hilarious that some people still think that grappling alone is the “end all” for self defense. You and your students are light years ahead by training striking and take-downs. East West rocks!

I have heard others say that Ryan’s school is excellent because of its attention to teaching quality martial arts, and its deliberate consideration and concern for its students safety.
