***September 17th from 6:00 – 7:30 – East West In House Tourney!!!!
As most of you know we have the big Battle of the Border tournament coming up on Saturday, October 9th (SEE BELOW!!) in Lansing that East West is co-hosting. We are very excited about this event and we we want to do everything we can to get our school ready for the competition. We are going to have an informal in house tournament on Friday, September 17th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. We are looking for people to come out to compete this night whether they are thinking of competing in the actual tournament or not. We are going to mock a real tournament to get everyone who is competing ready for the main event on the 9th.
So come out to support the team on September 10th and either learn how to ref, compete in the mock tourney, or for both!! If you could please email Dave Browne at daveryanbrowne@yahoo.com by Thursday the 16th and let us know if you will be coming out. We will try to match people up accordingly the night before.
We are also going to be training everyone on how to referee, and a portion of the night will be dedicated to that. We will be needing ref’s for the 9th, so anyone interested in helping out it would be greatly appreciated. This will be a good night to get a good feel for a real competition and also how to become a referee. If you do decide to referee, you have free admission for the entire day’s events.
Thanks everyone! This will really help out our team get ready for the big day!
